When it comes to cruelty free makeup brands, you’d think that at this stage not a single beauty company would test on animals or engage in any business with suppliers that do test on animals or are involved in any form of animal abuse. However, this is far from reality. And plenty of beauty brands still test on animals or do business with suppliers that do.
Cruelty free brands, the ones that do not test on animals and don’t do business with companies, are not as many as we’d like. And although each year a few more companies decide to join the cruelty free movement, there is still a lot of progress to be made. If you wonder what the practice of testing on animals looks like, let’s just say that hamsters, bunnies and others animals, routinely get these chemicals applied to their skin and eyes, causing them severe burns and suffering. Now I don’t know about you, but to us, in 2018 there is no acceptable reason for any company to keep testing on animals. And there is no reason for us to support their businesses when there are fabulous brands making an effort and going cruelty free!
We have made this list of cruelty free make up brands. The brands that you’ll find here are certified by PETA and Leaping Bunny swhich are the two main organizations lobbying against cruelty practices in the beauty industry.
These brands are certified by one or both organizations.
